Selection help

How to choose a feed pellet machine

Four things decide which model fits, before price is even discussed.

Flat die or ring die depends on how hard you run it

Flat-die machines are simpler and cheaper to run in short batches, which suits a single farm. Ring-die mills tolerate longer continuous shifts and are the right choice when pelletising is the bottleneck in a feed line.

Size for feed demand, not for ambition

A 100 kg/h press covers roughly 800 kg in an eight-hour day, enough for a small poultry flock. Work out daily feed consumption first, then buy the machine that covers it with a little headroom.

Check the power supply before the model

The flat-die machine runs a 220 V 3 kW motor, which suits sites with single-phase power. Larger mills need a heavier supply. Tell us your voltage, phase and frequency and we will match the motor.

Do not forget drying and cooling

Freshly pressed pellets are hot and soft. Plan a simple cooling and drying area so pellets harden and store without mould, especially in humid climates.

Questions

Feed Pellet Machine questions buyers ask

Answers written against the capacities and prices we publish, not against a template.

How much does a feed pellet machine cost?

Published unit prices run from US$275 to US$319 per set across the range, depending on throughput and die type. The final price depends on configuration, motor specification and destination port, so we quote each order individually before you commit.

Flat die or ring die: which should I choose?

Choose a flat-die machine for short daily batches on a single farm, especially where only 220 V single-phase power is available. Choose a ring-die mill when pelletising runs continuously inside a feed production line and higher throughput justifies the larger machine.

Can I make pellets for different animals on one machine?

Yes. The listed models cover chicken, pig, rabbit, duck, cattle and sheep feed. Pellet diameter is set by the die, so tell us which animals you feed and we will supply the die size that suits them, with alternatives quoted separately.

What raw materials can be pelletised?

These machines pelletise ground grain and mixed feed ingredients into a hard pellet. Grinding happens before pelletising, so a hammer mill is usually part of the same line. Tell us your recipe and the ingredients you have locally so we can advise on the preparation steps.
